DAWN'S 2022 SCHEDULE

OCTOBER 17, 2022
ConNext Summit in Buffalo, MN
Whereby I host two vendor tables, one as Freelancer Dawn and one as Sparkhouse Dawn

OCTOBER 29, 2022
Twin Cities Area Church Library Association meeting at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN

PREVIOUS EVENTS AND APPEARANCES

JANUARY 12-14, 2021
Children’s Pastors Conference by INCM
During this Online Conference I provided the following:
Video Presentation: What’s on the Menu? Best Practices for Preschool Ministry
Audio Presentation: Faith in the First Three Years: Why Early Childhood Ministry Matters

I was honored to present two sessions at the annual Children’s Pastors Conference hosted by the International Network of Children’s Ministry. My presentations are now part of the Digital Experience Kit for all attendees.

Didn’t attend CPC? You can still learn with Dr. Dawn! I have also collaborated with INCM to develop an 8-session Child Development Starter Course. This affordable class (only $59!) walks you through infancy through the preteen years with an emphasis on findings from developmental psychology and ways to apply this knowledge to ministry with kids. You can purchase the course here.

In 2020, I was a panelist for several online events to talk about children’s ministry during the pandemic.

+ Children in worship

+ Human memory and the book of Deuteronomy

+ Birth to 3 ministry in congregations

+ Designing child-friendly spaces in churches

+ Childhood and stewardship

+ Brain changes during the tween/early teen years

+ Creativity in organizations

+ Self care for ministry leaders

+ PLUS customized presentations and experiences to fit specific event themes

+ NEW for 2022 and beyond: What have we learned from ministry during a pandemic that can shape our best practices in years to come?
